WINLPG plays a vital role in transforming an industry traditionally dominated by men by encouraging the active participation of women at all levels, from field operations to leadership roles and is a highly successful network which was launched by the WLGA in 2015, this year celebrate ten years of supporting and promoting women in the Liquid Gas Industry.
The importance of WINLPG lies in its mission to empower women, provide networking opportunities, and share success stories that inspire others. By fostering a more inclusive environment, WINLPG helps improve innovation, performance, and decision-making within companies. Since its inception, WINLPG has championed diversity, inspired leadership, and fostered a global network of talented professionals. Over the past decade, we’ve broken barriers, built lasting connections, and driven meaningful change across the energy sector. This milestone is a testament to the strength, passion, and resilience of our members and partners worldwide.
WINLPG operates via national chapters which serve as localised platforms under the Global WINLPG initiative. They support the unique needs and challenges faced by women in different countries. There are now fifteen national chapters around the world. By addressing country-specific barriers such as cultural norms, access to education, and professional advancement, national chapters play a strategic role in driving inclusivity from the grassroots level.
We are delighted and honoured to welcome Cameroon to this prestigious network which also includes African national chapters in Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania and Morocco. WINLPG Cameroon will bring fresh perspectives, energy, and commitment to advancing the role of women in the sector. By joining this vibrant global community, Cameroon strengthens the collective voice advocating for equal opportunities and leadership for women in energy. We look forward to collaborating, sharing experiences, and driving impactful change together.
